Infusionsoft Campaign Structure

When naming your campaign, the structure is as follows:

XX. CAMPAIGN TYPE – CAMPAIGN NAME

The  Campaign Type is the campaign category, based on who uses it and how.  They are as follows:

  • 10. Marketing
For campaigns directly related to marketing – getting emails, generating leads and performing a marketing action, such as scheduling a call.
  • 20. Sales
For campaigns that are focused directly on making a sale, with limited or no marketing on the front end.  These including house list pushed to buy and call follow-ups to close.
  • 30. Fulfilment
For delivering products, providing memberships and other post-sales processes.  The start point is usually triggered after completion of another campaign.
  • 40. Finance
The least-used type, these are processes for following up with contacts for payments, and automation of the back of that.
  • 50. Internal
For processes used by company staff, such as completion of an internal management for, or call scheduling report.

The  Campaign Name is what the campaign does.  It could be the title of a specific campaign, such as ‘4 Day Cash Machine', but will more typically encompass the start and finish points of the campaign.  In the video example, we use a campaign in which someone opts in from a magazine advert, and the end point is that they scheduled a call.  The campaign name would be ‘Magazine Ad to Schedule Call'.

As this would be a marketing campaign, that would look like:
10. Marketing – Magazine Ad to Schedule Call
